Who I am
I'm Yiorgos — Greek-born, Berlin-based, and deeply European in everything I do. I've spent 17 years building growth engines, leading marketing teams, and scaling companies across some of Europe's most competitive markets.
My career took shape at the intersection of scrappy startups and scaling businesses. I joined SumUp in its early European years and spent 8.5 years there — growing from Online Marketing Manager to Head of Country Growth Team Europe, leading acquisition across 15+ markets with a cross-functional team of Country Managers and marketers.
Today I'm CMO at marta, a Berlin-based company, while also working selectively with companies that need a senior growth partner — someone who has actually built and led at scale, not just advised from the outside.
Being Greek and Berlin-based isn't just biography. It means I naturally bridge Southern European relationship-driven business culture with Northern European rigour and process. It's a lens very few consultants have, and it makes a real difference in cross-market growth strategy.
